The day, a huge success was only made possible by a steering group all of whom worked tirelessly to provide entertainment to heritage ticket sales which sold out in ¾ hour leading an estimated 5000 people to travel the line in 3 hours! A welcome £3.500 was made from sales and donations to support the LB CRP.

‘Ground Force’
Summary of Entry
‘Ground Force’ is aptly named for this group of adults who by their very nature with varying degrees of disability could be challenged to physically take part in carpentry, growing and planting. However the force and determination this group has shown over the last 2 years the CRP have contracted to them to meet an increased demand to provide planters, plants and hanging baskets for every station on the Island and New Forest beggars belief. They have collectively met the orders with cheer and delight for a project they take great pride in from growing the plants to seeing them in situ at the stations.
Phil Dominey from South West Trains will be accepting the awards at the event in Carlisle should the LB CRP be successful.
